Presenter: Dr Ryan Hyland

Bio: Ryan Hyland, PhD has been the technical sales specialist for Cytek biosciences in Australian and New Zealand since the start of 2021. Before this, Ryan completed his PhD focusing on cellular stress models in yeast and mammalian cell culture and went on to become a senior research assistant with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood RnD team. During his team at Lifeblood, Ryan ran several projects including the role out of a phase 1 clinical trial looking into the efficacy of cryopreserved platelets in cardiothoracic surgery patients, a national quality control program assessing blood manufacturing across Australia and the implementation of an RnD development lab space under NATA and TGA accreditation.
Since joining commercial teams, Ryan has been able to concentrate on his passion for flow cytometry and spends his time educating and helping the next generation of flow cytometrists who are keen to push the boundaries in flow.
