Nine researchers from UQ’s Faculty of Medicine have been named on the 2018 Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers List, the highest number of recipients for the Faculty in one year.
Executive Dean Professor Geoff McColl said being named on the list was a prestigious achievement.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate all researchers honoured with this announcement,” Professor McColl said.
“This award acknowledges years of dedication and ongoing motivation, and highlights researchers at the top of their fields.
“Having eight researchers named on this list shows that UQ is a fantastic place to undertake research that can have a truly global impact.”
The list represents scientists who have demonstrated significant influence by publishing multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.
Highly cited papers are defined as those ranking in the top one per cent by citations for a publication field and year.
This year, the eight Faculty of Medicine researchers were joined by 24 other University of Queensland researchers.
