In June this year, Professor Paul Colditz was awarded lifetime membership of ‘SIDS and Kids’. This rare honour was in recognition of the many years Professor Colditz has dedicated to the national bereavement counselling organisation, for parents who have experienced the sudden or unexpected death of a baby or child.
Since being the Founding Chairman of a SIDS and Kids Research Interest group in 2002, Professor Colditz has been an active member of both the state and national boards. He has also chaired many scientific committees.
In further recognition of his commitment to community support, Professor Colditz is also a recipient of the prestigious Ray Phippard award, from the Lions Medical Research Foundation.
The Ray Phippard Award is named in honour of Ray Phippard’s ongoing service to the Lions Medical Research Foundation over the last 40 years. The award is presented to an individual who has given outstanding service to the community in support of medical research.
