Deep learning approaches for seizure video analysis
Professor Aileen McGonigal MD, PhD, MRCP is Clinical Director Epilepsy Unit, Mater Hospital, Brisbane;
Honorary Professor, Mater Research Institute, Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland; Affiliate Professor, Queensland Brain Institute, UQ.
She is a neurologist with extensive specialist experience in epileptology and EEG, including stereo-EEG. Her main research interests include seizure semiology and its neural correlates, and she has written and lectured widely on these. She took up her current post in Australia in 2022, and continues to develop use of stereo-EEG with an associated clinical research programme.

The UQ Centre of Clinical Research (UQCCR) and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Neurology department have partnered to present a monthly seminar series with the aim to facilitate greater links between neurologists and basic neuroscientists; encouraging collaborations as well as synergy within our brain, neurology and mental health group.
