Researcher biography

Dr. Xiaolin (Charlene) Wu holds a PhD in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, specializing in chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis of small molecules in various sample types. After completing her doctorate, Dr Wu joined the New Zealand Canterbury Health Laboratory, where she focused on developing and applying mass spectrometric methodology for the analysis of steroid hormones in biological matrices such as serum and urine for diagnostic purposes. In 2023, Dr Wu joined UQCCR, continuing her research method development for drugs and participating in pharmacokinetic studies. With a strong background in health-related analytical chemistry, Dr Wu is dedicated to advancing techniques that improve the accuracy and efficiency of detecting and quantifying pharmaceutical drugs in various sample types.
